I also speculate that the BlackBerry Personal data plan hikes up $10, from $30 to $40, due to the 3G speed increase. The original claim for the $30 price on BB Personal plans was that it gave you access to BIS (BlackBerry Internet Service). If that is the case, and the customary cost for 3G access through At&t is $30, add the $10 for BIS, and bam, you now have one expensive data plan just for “wonderful” push email.

The BES plan already runs $45, will it too increase? $55 a month for a BES plan? Ouch.

It is speculation, of course, but with the $10 increase to the iPhone plan being attributed to 3G speeds, I can really, really see it happening.
