You knew that “Worst Office Freak Out Ever” YouTube video that has been circulating for the last month just couldn’t be true, right? The popular video seems to be from an office surveillance camera and shows an office worker going completely insane and ripping out computer monitors and attacking furniture with a sledgehammer. According to this press release it’s all a “viral video” for a movie featuring Angelina Jolie opening June 26th.

Timur Bekmambetov, director of the new film WANTED, posted the music video on his blog, finally linking the video to his latest film release. The video itself earlier broke all records for downloads on the internet and became a news item in its own right around the world when it was thought to be footage taken from a CCTV camera of an office worker on the rampage. The video begins with a man casually walking over to another co-worker’s desk. Then the co-worker hits the man over the head with his keyboard, attacks his desk, and smashes up the office, destroying cubicles.

Haha. Funny. Isn’t she a big enough star to open a movie without these types of tricks? Let’s put the joke back on her and not go see the movie.
