Well we’ve seen the Centro come out on Sprint, then AT&T and finally on Verizon. Verizon’s edition of the Centro is a nice blue color.
I love the color Verizon picked for their version of the Centro. It’s a dark blue and almost unobtrusive. It barely gets any attention. It’s almost business like in appearance.
I love the size of the Centro. It’s actually thinner than my LG enV and also shorter than the enV. The only dimension that the enV is smaller than the Centro is the width. The enV is not as wide as the Centro. Let’s just say the Centro is the smallest Treo I have ever seen. For those who were wishing for a Treo that is smaller than the 755 on Verizion, I think you’ve finally got it.
The thing I like the best so far about the Centro is Google Maps. You’d think it would be the fact that I have it syncing with my Groupwise calendar at work or Blazer, but I really enjoy demoing Google Maps to people who had no idea you could do that with a phone. In church, I showed the satellite image of the church to some of the guys and flicked around the map with the stylus. Some people were totally amazed you can do this on a Palm. Yeah, to most Gear Diary readers, this isn’t new, but it’s features like this that help Verizon, Sprint and AT&T target the Centro at the new market segment: People who have never owned a smartphone.
That’s really who this phone is for. At it’s $99 dollar price point, the Centro is certainly priced as cheap as most feature phones and can do so much more. Stay right here for the full review and I also share how successful I have been getting this phone to also sync with Linux

I’m really excited that Verizon finally has the Centro. I’ve always been a fan of the simple Palm OS, so I think I’ll be trading in my phone & Palm TX for a Centro.
Its a lot easier to remember 1 device instead of 2.
