Engadget Mobile has posted a short video that is said to be the Blackberry Javelin. This model is a non-3G version of the Bold that according to Engadget Mobile is planned for 2009. Hopefully there will be more video coming because this one doesn’t show the browser (or anything for that matter) in action. Blackberry may be enjoying strong financial results for now, but without a strong web browser I’m looking for a slow fall from dominance. Turns out I may not be the only as discussed in this Mercury News article about how developers will soon swarm to the iPhone for it’s rich Internet experience. RIM has yet to display anything that closely resembles the Internet experience available on the iPhone – and long term that could be a problem if their developers flock to the iPhone development environment.

I just don’t understand why apple hasn’t enabled an external keyboard to work with the iphone bluetooth. That would open up so much more practical use of the unit.
