Samsung Instinct on SERO plan – early feedback say’s no way

Ask ten different people whether the Samsung Instinct (release date June 20) can be activated on a SERO plan – and you’ll get 10 different answers. Sprint SERO stands for Sprint Exclusive Referral Offer. It’s a special online only plan that is revered for it’s ultra-low entry level $30 price that includes 500 voice minutes and unlimited EVDO Rev A data and unlimited text and picture messaging. We’ve heard both YES and NO answers about the ability to active Instinct on SERO. Now it seems that someone purchased a Samsung Instinct at Best Buy ($599) and tried mightily to activate it on SERO – with the final answer being “No can do”. Read more about his attempts. UPDATE 6-21-2008: The Samsung Instinct has since appeared on the Sprint SERO site and Sprint have indicated that the phone may only be used on a Simply Everything plan.
