It seems that automotive GPS units are starting to become commodities. It probably won’t be long before the full featured ones break the sub-$200 price level. Amazon has the Garmin Nuvi 650 for $249 with free shipping for Amazon Prime members. This model lacks some bells and whistles such as bluetooth hands free calling and real time traffic monitoring. If you can do without the extras (and I found I never used all the extra features on my Nuvi) then the 650 is a great deal. It’s small, fast and accurate. If you still don’t have a GPS in your car – what are you waiting for?
