Synchronicity was arguably the best album ever for the Police. I still remember seeing them on tour in Providence Rhode Island. We slept out overnight for tickets (remember those days?). None of us could believe the absurd price that they were getting for each ticket. Surely nobody would every pay that price for a concert ticket. The price then was $20, which was an unheard of sum of money in 1983 for concert tickets. Relive a little of that 1983’s nostalgia with their Synchronicity album which Amazon will let you legally download for $1.99. I’m not sure how long this deal will last so if you’re interested head over their soon.

Wayne,
I saw them that same year at the old Comiskey Park in Chicago. There were about 5 bands that played that day, including A Flock Of Seagulls, The Fixx, Ministry, Joan Jett & The Blackhearts. Check out this website, it has all the tour dates from 1983:

By the way, great post!

That is such a good deal that I checked it out … despite till having the CD from 25 years ago. I didn’t see them on that tour, had already seen them a few times over the previous 4-5 years. Wonderful memories …
