When I was in college I supported myself during my Junior and Senior year working as a DJ. The technology that I used back then seems positively primitive (records, turntables and mixing boards) when compared to what is available today. With the Hercules DJ Control MP3 (SLP $129) you connect your laptop via a single USB connector. The unit then accesses your MP3 files and lets you mix as if you were using 2 turntables. Speed up/down the playback, scratch, mix and move inside the music. This is all powered through your USB connection. Even if you don’t know what you’re doing — twisting and turning all the knobs on this thing will make people THINK you’re an expert. Watch for a full review coming soon as DJ K-Woo (aka Kerry Woo) get’s his groove on.
