So you take your already hacked and patched OS and apply another patch that points to PsyStar in order to obtain automatic updates from PsyStar. Now you're dependent on both Apple AND Psystar when something is broken.
One of the things that makes the Apple experience desirable, is the integration of the hardware and the OS - the fact that they are developed together. That supposedly leads us to a better, more stable/consistent computing experience. If there's a problem - you go to the source, Apple, for an answer. That's part of why you're willing to pay the premium price.
PsyStar takes you back to the Windows OEM model. OS + OEM hardware + OEM drivers = working computer, except that you can't just add any hardware you want - it has to come from PsyStar. So if that's the model you want to follow, somtimes at the cost of stability/reliability, then why buy a PsyStar, why not just buy a Windows-based clone where, at least, you have some choice about the hardware you use?
I continue to fail to see the point of suffering the compromises of a product like this. The cost savings simply aren't worth the trade-offs, in my opinion.

Okay.
