Brother just introduced their 6490CW ink jet printer that has caught my eye. It includes wireless (802.11b/g) connections as well as USB 2 which I think is a great option in an environment where nearly every laptop has wireless capabilities. The printer will manage paper sizes from 4 x 6 inches all the way up to 11 by 17 inches (think big spreadsheets). It scans, copies and faxes large sized originals as well. The overpriced ink is fed from a new cartridge that offers 2x the page yield versus the standard cartridge (it remains to be seen whether the price is 2x+ as well). Pricing on this is expected to be under $299.
