Nikon’s new D700 camera has just been announced though it seems to have been reported on previously all over the Internet. DPreview is out with a pretty thorough overview of this $3,000 camera which hits stores in July 2008. They note it as Nikon’s first compact professional (Translation = It’s really fast, sturdy and expensive) adding a self-cleaning sensor and built-in flash.
