Sick and tired of reading about iPhone? How about a little giveaway.(No – we’re not giving away an iPhone – just a bunch of cool accessories and related stuff). Whether you’re planning a NYC trip on Friday to buy latest 3G model at the flagship Fifth Avenue Store – or just keeping your existing iPhone – there’s something here for everyone. In keeping with the hype over a line starting over the July 4th weekend, we decided on a contest that tests your New York City knowledge. Each day we’ll post an interesting New York quiz. Answer the quiz in the comments and we’ll pick one winner each day from all correct answers. You’ll win something related to the iPhone – an accessory or other useful gadget. One prize per person and sorry but we can only ship to US and Canada addresses. Want to play? The picture you need is above. Go on to the next page for today’s quiz.
Day 1 Quiz: Identify this “famous” NY Landmark

You may have seen this landmark on a very very famous nightly TV show. The gap toothed host is sometimes filmed out on the street, however it’s more likely that you’ve seen his neighbors.
For a big hint, look at the picture at the top of this page. See the name of the store immediately to the right. If you’re a fan of the show then the name printed on the awning will give the answer away.
What many visitors to NY don’t know is that you can see celebrities entering through this side stage door. Paris Hilton, Artie Lange, Morgan Freeman are some of the folks who I have seen step through this door and sign autographs.

Since the entrance is public, it costs exactly nothing to hang out by the Stage door with the paparazzi.
Today’s giveaway is the Beer Belly and Winerack combo. That’s right we’re giving them both away. Sort of a “his and hers” prize package!
How exactly does this tie into the launch of the 3G iPhone??
Well these are two useful tools for anyone planning to wait in line for an Apple iPhone 3G. We wrote about this quirky pair back in June – Winerack is a sports bra with built-in pouch that holds 25oz of your favorite beverage. The device is marketed as a way to carry liquid beverages into events that otherwise discourage BYOB.

And for the man we have Beerbelly, which attaches across your waist (making it appear as if the wearer has a bit of a beer belly) and holding a man sized 80 oz stash of your favorite beverage.

So the quiz for day one is –
Identify the famous NY landmark shown in the picture at the start of the post.
Leave your answer in the comments section.
(The landmark is obviously a door — so we’re looking for the name of the famous place that this door leads to. Look in the very first picture for a big clue – and if you get really stuck just copy someone’s answer from the comments..).
We’ll draw from all correct winners tomorrow morning. Remember – US and Canada shipment only. We must have a deliverable email address to notify you. We’ll wait 24 hours to hear back from the winner and after that if unclaimed will go on to the next correct entry drawn. Must be over 21 to win.

Oh for pity’s sake, I left off the second part of my statement. It SHOULD have read
“Ah yes, Rupert’s Hello Deli as seen from David Letterman. The “famous” landmark is the Ed Sullivan theatre stage door leading to the various “Green Rooms” and such.
I blame it on this new laptop.
