The remote controls volume, treble/bass, track forward/back but NO menu control. Quite frankly the remote is one of the weak links of the unit. A bit (lot) too big, and limited functionality. I know it is apples and oranges but one of the striking things for me is that this or the Bose run $250ish and when I think back to buying that stereo 30 (gulp) years ago it ran a whole lot more in 1978 $. The $250 you paid seems like a comparable steal. Bose wants $269 for their iPod dock. Ultimately this seems like one of those devices that just has to "fit" the room. I'm curious whether the remote also will control the iPod functions? I know on the iHome it sorta kinda does in a most awkward manner.. I paid $150 for the iHome for iPhone and the sound is absolutely terrible. The $250 you paid seems like a comparable steal.
