Hot on the heels of my post about Skooba Design’s Checkpoint Friendly bags come these from Mobile Edge. According to an email I received from Matthew Olivolo, their Director of Public Relations, they “are going to the airport to do testing on Thursday (July 10) and then pull the trigger on production.” He also mentioned that a full press release will be appearing later this week…
Which laptop bag manufacturer will be next to come out with their own Checkpoint Friendly designs?
Is it my imagination? Or did travelers everywhere suddenly start breathing a collective sigh of relief…?

…let’s hope they don’t pull the trigger while testing at the airport…well, never mind

OK, did I miss something? Does this mean that you would no longer have to take your laptop out of the bag? And, if so, this is kosher with the TSA?

We tested our bags at a TSA checkpoint before TSA designated airports. This gave us a headstart on development and confirmed that our choice of materials was excellent for this application.
We have already sold out the first lot and are now holding inventory for media.
If you want a checkpoint friendly laptop bag to review just drop me a line.
