Last.fm is now available for your listening pleasure via the iTunes Apps Store. For those who have never used Last.fm, it lets you listen to the singers and bands that you like and it will create recommendations based on their music. The service boasts of over 5 million songs in its music catalog. You can buy songs via the Wi-Fi iTunes music store as well. The application is free and first requires that you create an account. You need to have iPhone or Touch software version 2.x. I tested this for about an hour on my EDGE signal and it had awesome quality, lots of B-Side type songs, about 1.5 minutes for the next song to buffer and start playing (By comparison AOL Radio won’t play for me any longer via EDGE)PS - It’s still early yet, but is that “The Fat Lady” I hear warming up her song to sing for Terrestrial and Satellite radio.
