Make free ringtones for your iPhone or iPhone 3G

Hey there big spender. Did you just lay out $300+ for a new 3G iPhone but are too cheap to buy ringtones online when you already own the song in mp3 format? Me too. Here’s a free program called iRinger (Windows only – requires iPhone firmware 1.12+ – works with new 2.x firmware!) that automates the process of creating iPhone ringtones. Think of it as iPhone Ringtones made easy. There’s also an excellent (and short) YouTube video that teaches you about the software. Oh, did I mention the program itself is free? Here’s a video that shows you how to use iRinger to create your own iPhone ringtones (requires that your iPhone be on 1.12 or higher firmmware – and works with iPhone 3G).
