Starbucks yesterday released a detailed list of the 600 stores which they plan to close by the end of 2009. If you’re used to working wirelessly in Starbucks (free AT&T Wi-Fi or not) – you may want to take a look and see whether your Starbucks is closing. These store closings affect 8.7% of the Starbucks located in 44 states. The company in part blames difficult economic times for the closings.

Wow only 4 in the metro Columbus area are closing. None of them I have even heard of so it’s not surprising they are closing. Each of these also have another location less than one mile from their location.

One in CT is in a big outdoor mall — maybe a mile from another Starbucks. The others in CT I have not been into.
