Holy mother of all unpaid auction bids batman – it’s a $650 winning bid for ….. an iPhone 3G box and instructions. Most likely the “winning” bidder didn’t read the auction details – or maybe they’re collectors adding to their iPhone box collection. Amazingly the auction attracted 34 bids – starting at a reasonable .99 and progressing over the course of three days to the unbelievable price of $ 650.

I’d love to know if this guy is able to collect on the auction; and whether he refunds the buyer if they return the box (as the auction indicates he will).

forgot to say it, Wayne; but this was an awesome find! Where do you find this stuff?!?

I don’t think the buyer would have a claim, even if they pay via PayPal. The auction clearly states (even if there is a spelling error): “This is a BOX and set if INSTRUCTIONS for an iPhone 3G Black 16GB phone.”
Wow…how crushed would you be if you had won this gem?
Great find Wayne!

I smell “bid retraction”….
I found this on Howardforums this morning — a goldmine of useless stuff with occasional diamonds of info and the bizarre…
