Friends don’t let friends overpay for computer cables

One of the things I always seem to be buying are computer network cables. Anytime you connect a computer to a DSL or Cable Modem you have to use a network cable. Make a trip into any office supply store and see how much money they want for a basic cable to connect your computer to the Internet. I’ve seen prices of $29.95! These stores most often prey on the uncertainty someone like my Mom would have when purchasing a cable for her computer. I’m going to let you in on a big secret about buying computer network cables. I just had to pick up two and instead of paying the $29.95 each (that would have been $60) I paid $4.95 each. My secret? Home Depot. I have found Home Depot to be the most reasonable place for buying network cables. They even beat WalMart where the cables started at $9.95 (and most were in the $15 – $19 range). Next time you need a cable for your computer – try Home Depot first – you may be surprised how much money you save.
