money compressing bank.jpg

If you haven’t seen one of these in action I guarantee you’ll be amazed. I’ve studied this little bank for hours. Even after researching it on the web my simple mind still can’t grasp how they do this. Naturally it’s an optical illusion accomplished with mirrors and tricky viewing angles (at least I think that’s how they do it). Insert a coin in the top of the bank. The money appears to slide through a “straw thin” tube into a tiny collection box which holds three or four coins. The illusion is tough to figure out, fun to show off to friends – and makes a great gift for kids or adults.
