There’s a new web site launching in September 2008 that makes it easier to determine whether you have a sound legal case. Site visitors answer questions on the aptly named “whocanisue” web site. The participating attorney’s pay about $1,000 each to be listed. If they want to show higher on the search result - they pay an undisclosed additional consideration. After asking web visitors general questions about their issue, the site will provide guidance on whether they have a case worth pursuing and if the case seems worthy they will be immediately put in touch with an attorney. Something about this just seems wrong and I wonder if the next logical extension of this concept will be for the attorneys to bid their fees to represent you?

This really doesn’t speak very highly of us as a society, does it?

Look at how the financial markets have taken a hit because so many people overspent and incurred way too much debt. I tell you the whole “buy it on credit and expect the government to bail you out” makes my blood boil.
The government then takes more steps (free money handouts aka stimulus) which basically reward the reckless spending and debt habits…
