My take on the major cell providers is that ATT has the best phones, Verizon has the best coverage, but Sprint has by far the best prices. I have been hanging on to a grandfathered Sprint family plan for a long long time, but finally switched yesterday to one of their new Sprint share plans. We have four lines that share 1500 anytime minutes, and unlimited everything else for $170 a month. An equivalent plan on Verizon would cost nearly twice as much. We're fortunate I guess in that we have good Sprint coverage everywhere we normally go, but here's the kicker: it includes free roaming... on Verizon's network.

I’m hoping Sprint hangs in there too.
