Looks like the Treo Pro has made quick appearance — and disappearance on the Palm web site. An astute web site visitor posted information via WMEXPERTS on a product page that was briefly displayed on Palm. According to the page the specs are 3G with a 320×320 screen. Interestingly enough, one of our tipsters who had some play time with this says Palm is going to announce it within the coming week. The phone is sans carrier branding and apparently a GSM model. Speculation is that this phone won’t be carried by AT&T – at least not right away. We’ll wait and see. Click on for more photos.

Update: We have further info from multiple sources that this device is also made by HTC, has plastic keys (instead of gummy), and includes the following in the program menu – Sprite Backup, Adobe Reader LE, Messenger, “Get WorldMate”, Java, Windows Live, QuickGPS, Remote Desktop, and it has a 1500mAh battery. It will be Vodafone branded for the UK, it will be sold in North America via the Palm Site and through stores, but it won’t be branded by a North American carrier. AT&T will certify it on their network but don’t plan to “carry” it on their site. The 800w should be announced next week (possibly Wednesday) with availability in 2-3 weeks.

Looks identical to the spyshot from awhile back. I like the flush touchscreen and it’s thinness, just not the Centro jelly-keyboard.

Word is that it’s announcement is imminent — which seems to be backed up by the premature appearance of the specifications on the Palm site.

No kidding! This thing looks really nice. If the keyboard isn’t gell-keys, then this will be a really nice device. the thing I like the most…? Its thin. Its not like the 700 series, including the 750. This should fit very nicely in a shirt pocket, and not feel fat and bloated…(oh wait, that’s me…)
