Where’s my cell phone?

I don’t lose my cell phone very often because I tend to keep it in my pocket or right on my desk. There are times like when I’m down my bi-monthly load of laundry that I’ll put the phone down absent mindedly. Then I’m left wondering – where’s my cell phone? The quick answer is always to call the phone (praying you didn’t leave it on vibrate). What happens if you’re not near a regular phone? Use the Internet (maybe useful if you are in a public place that has free Internet but no free phones) . Visit the wheresmycellphone.com site and enter your cell number – to instantly call your phone. Run around like crazy listening for the ringer and hopefully you’ll be back in business. Update 9-3-2008: The service has  limited calling to US and Canada phone numbers.

Your screenshot’s out of date. They’ve changed “limited international calling” to “US & Canada Only for now…”. I’m not looking for fault – I’m outside the all-important US and this does nothing for me (although it accepts a country code and tells me my phone is ringing. It isn’t.

Thanks for the heads up – I’ve changed the review to indicate that calls must be in the US and Canada.
