My iPhone 3G never exhibited any issues with AT&T or 3G -- so I'm not able to judge whether the patch was any help with signal / reception improvements. What I have seen so far is my GMAIL no longer hangs (imap retrieval) which it was doing about 1 in 10 times that I checked emails. It's still too early to tell if the GMAIL is a permanent improvement or if I'm just having a "good" GMAIL day. I loaded the patch last night.
