Sears has their Extreme Arcade – Home Arcade for $399.88 – which is a good $200 cheaper (and about 75% off the list price of $1,499.99) than the last time we spotlighted it in May 2008. This home arcade has 50 legendary games including Asteroids, Battle Zone, Berzerk, Centipede, Elevator Action, Food Fight, Jungle Hunt, Lunar Landing, Millipede, Space Invaders, and 40 more. It has an authentic style arcade cabinet and 19 in. high resolution monitor. Some assembly is required. Ship it to your dorm room and enlist the aid of your new roommates to assemble it. Guaranteed to keep your mind off studying for at least half the year – or as long as it takes on of your drunken little friends to throw a desk chair through the display.

I see this more likely in a middle-aged guy’s rec room. Most college kids don’t even remember having to insert quarters to play video games.

    For example, I want one!

I’d want one, too, except that it’s lacking one thing . . . Galaga!!!!
