I am excited to give this Navigon a try. I imagine here in DC, there will be quite an extensive library of buildings. But how well will that work when we visit a smaller city? Like my parent in SC?

I use the HP 310 regularly (it's based on iGo8) and I drove into New Orleans a few weeks ago and noticed it had most of the CBD (downtown) and the French Quarter rendered in 3D buildings.
I suspect all the nav apps/PNAs will be like this is a few years.

So does iGo8 – worldwide (as I imagine the software version of Navigon does too). So, I couldn't really say how this compares. Basically, the Navigon has hundreds (or more) of landmark buildings in cities across the US, which appear in full 3D view. Pretty cool if you ask me. :)
