As we head into the fall home improvement season, don’t forget to pick up something for your car the next time you visit Home Depot.
That’s right, your car. Your trusty mode of transportation. That thing that has been sitting in the blazing sun all summer long.
It deserves a makeover too.

Check out the complete line of Detail Magic products now available in select Home Depot stores.

Detail Magic is described as earth-friendly products designed to minimize impact on the environment.
We recently tested a bottle of the Detail Magic Waterless Wash and Protectant. It is the perfect product to carry around in the car for those times when a quick or complete cleanup is required but water is scarce or unavailable. Last time I checked there weren’t very many garden hoses stretched out at the local car show.

Detail Magic is also marketing their products at the used car market, perfect for sprucing up that old clunker and getting a few extra bucks out of the sale.

If you check out their website at www.detailmagic.tv you will see a video presentation of the spokesmodel using Detail Magic to clean spray paint from the hood of a new Lamborghini.
I tested the product on one of my weekly test cars that had seen almost an entire week of surprising summer rains. The road grime left behind looked like a full morning’s worth of work last Saturday, but the bottle of Detail Magic and the supplied clean applicator mitt made quick work of it.
Took me less than 10 minutes to do the passenger side of the Mitsubishi Evo.

I also used the product to restore a bit of luster on the hood of our old beater Plymouth minivan. I’ll wait to finish that job until after our annual trip with the dogs to the V-e-t.

As I mentioned, Detail Magic products are available in select Home Depot stores or online through the manufacturer’s website.

Our $17.97 32 oz. bottle of wash and wax protectant will is good for up to 10 complete washes and works on all automotive finishes, exotic paint jobs, lacquer, aluminum, chrome, stainless steel, brass, acrylic, fiberglass, gel coats and Plexiglas.
