iPhone 3G extended battery – 2,400 mAh – $44

USB Fever has this iPhone 3G compatible battery pack available for $44. The rated power capacity is 2,400 mAh which is a full 50% larger than competitors such as the Mophie. This slide on battery pack contains a built-in speaker for the phone as well as volume and power buttons. Like the Mophie you cannot synch through the battery pack – you’ll have to remove your iPhone and connect it directly to your computer in order to sync at the end of the day.

Damn, that thing looks HUGE! How thick do they say it is?? And if I can’t sync with the device in this thing, its not worth it. Getting this thing in and out every time I want to sync isn’t going to be a fun time…I just have this feeling.

I’m going with the mophie. The whole reason I want the mophie vs the other packs is it can slide on and still fit in my pocket, I don’t know about this thing.
