Question: What do phone manufacturers do when they’ve run out of innovations to add to their phone and want to goose a little extra sales mileage of out of a tired product line? Answer: Introduce new colors! If pictures that recently surfaced online are authentic, then Sprint appears ready to introduce pea soup green (lime?) and rose colors to their Palm Centro smartphone lineup. Rumors say these colors could be introduced in October.

This is a tried-and-true marketing technique. Nobody disses auto manufacturers for adding new colors for existing vehicles every year. Nintendo has made a fortune doing this. But these colors… really? Two of the three colors Sprint already offered were red and pink. Another shade of red? And snot green? Someone must like them.
Much better news for Centro customers is Seidio finally coming out with a higher-capacity battery that fits in the same slot:

AT&T is offering the Centro in Electric Blue, White, and Black. Colors seem to be the thing. The Samsung Blackjack/II are also available now in a variety of colors as are other phones. Color appears to be one of the “important” things these days when selecting a phone.
