Amazon’s presidential candidate poll – based on halloween mask sales

Amazon is getting into the political polling busines. Sort of. I just noticed this morning that they’ve started an “Amazon Meter” which judges the success of each political candidate by how well their respective halloween masks are selling. Each of the candidates is measured by sales of 3 masks. For Barack Obama the masks are: Barack Obama Paper Mask Adult, Obama Teen/Adult Mask and Obama Adult Vinyl Full Mask. Similarly John McCain’s popularity is tabulated from sales of the John McCain Paper Mask Adult, McCain Teen/Adult Mask and McCain Adult Vinyl Full Mask. At this time it does not appear that the Bristol Palin costume counts toward McCain’s total. [UPDATE: It appears that Amazon has pulled this halloween mask sales comparison link]

Silly and/or pathetic. Or does it mean there are more clowns fo Obama? Hmmm.
OTOH, if they offered Sarah and Biden masks, I think it’s a cinch the Sarah’s would have a 100%-0 advantage…
