According to an unsubstantiated rumor on web site The Symbian Core, iTunes for Symbian is under beta testing with a rumored released of January 2009. No information is given as to why Apple might cannibalize their own hardware sales with an iTunes release for Symbian. Similar rumors surfaced in 1986 and were debunked as someone’s creative wishful thinking. If there’s truth to this rumor it might also be a remote control for iTunes versus a full blown implementation. This rumored development effort for iTunes comes on the heels of Nokia’s “Comes with Music” effort scheduled to roll out in the UK later this year.
There is an information that iTunes s60 will have the same functionalities as desktop version, including iTunes Store. Among the new features – the revolutional software technology with codename “HypnoBreathe”, that increases the sound quality on the level, which was not reachable for another s60 applications till this time. Someone says that Apple buy a special secret API from Nokia, that was created for a few years. Also, new s60 player will have ability to control the desktop iTunes by Wi-Fi. This feature will be avaliable for Mac and PC users. Official release of iTunes s60 will be maded in January, 2009.Not all phones will be compatible.
