I want to find a touchscreen smartphone with a slide out qwerty keyboard, wifi capacities, and a camera that takes acceptable pictures...and on top of that, I want it to work on european channels. I say slide out keyboard because I'm looking for a large front screen, not a blackberry look. I'd actually forgo my want of a keyboard and go for the iPhone, except for the fact that I'd have to get one illegally (I don't want any kind of data plan since I'm happy with finding wifi hotspots to use the net, and I don't plan to change my carrier), and that it locks me into "mac world" with only iPhone apps available to me.
So does this dream phone exist?
Maybe that's a lot to ask, you could just point me in the direction of the companies to look at. HTC seems to be a good one, right?

So, you see a lot of the newer phones, Judie, maybe you can help me out. Guys, I am going to go into detail about this US CDMA model in particular, and then delve into why someone might like a Touch Diamond over an iPhone (or vice versa) in general. That's all! Trust me, the main meat of our typical reviews will still be there; I just think that a device called the Touch anything begs the comparison. :-)
I love that you all are paying such close attention, though.
David, I just sent the Vertu Constellation in for a repair, so an icky Nokia beater is replacing it at the moment. I also have an iPhone that I have been forwarding my calls to, so don't feel too sorry for me. ;-)

Ha! Is that something that you might want to switch to permanently, or are you just doing it for this review??

I will also be interested in the new format. I hope that doesn't mean less photos or removing the squeeze/creak test...

Different type of review?
