The latest firmware update for those using the iPhone is slated to be released tomorrow. During Apple’s “Let’s Rock” event Steve Jobs indicated that this release cures lots of bugs, improves battery life, dramatically cuts the time it takes to synchronize and backup the phone and prevents application crashes.

One new feature of the 2.1 operating system is an option to have all data automatically erased from the iPhone after 10 incorrect password unlocking attempts. This will be the third major firmware upgrade since the iPhone 3G was released on July 11.

I wonder how many people will get so drunk and erase all their data trying to unlock? :/
