Why It Pays To Have a Mobile Phone With a Decent Camera

Posted on 23 September 2008 by

Stan Lau sent these pictures in of Senator Hillary Clinton discussing the Wall Streets troubles and the proposed bailout plan at the Federal Reserve Bank at 2:40pm yesterday. Yeah, okay fine – these pictures aren’t zoomed in, and they might not portray the same result someone would have obtained from a DSLR, but Stan now has non-blurry proof that he was there and for that matter – she was, too. How cool to catch history with your mobile phone camera!

See if you can spot Stan in the CNBC interview of Hillary discussing her day the Fed*.

What’s the coolest / most unusual / interesting event that you have ever captured with your mobile phone’s camera? Do tell… :-)

*I’m not saying you’ll see him; I am just telling you to look for him.

I started Gear Diary on September 30, 2006, and my goal was that this not be an easily labeled site. We all have gear that we use daily – some of it electronic and some of it organic. I think it is fascinating to explore the equipment that makes our lives easier, more entertaining, more productive, and more manageable. My hope is that Gear Diary visitors will find this site to be a comfortable and friendly place to discuss interesting topics – and not only those that are tech related, as well as a location to discover various types of gear – whatever that term may end up implying – that they never knew existed. My specialty is in-depth reviews written in a layman’s terms, because everyone can understand technology, sometimes it just takes a little translating. +Judie Stanford
