What is your opinion on those hybrid SUVs? Are they going to sell? Did the price go up to fit them with the electric?

We had a discussion about those. (Judie really dug the Cadillac Escalade hybrid). We figure any fullsize SUV dishing out 20mpg in town has a lot going for it, despite the fact that the folks paying the 72 grand price tag usually care less about the price of fuel. The other half of buyers will be those doing it for image – they want the neighbors, the country club snobs and the world to see that they are environmentally conscious, although most of the time they will run the AC at max and stomp the gas pedal so any hybrid savings go out the window since the electric component will never kick in.
