I used the small padded to protect my WD Passport hard drive in my day bag (medium Cafe Bag) on my recent trip around the UK and Ireland, and the mini padded for my iPod Video which I have relegated to a backup hard drive (I kept this in my other carry-on, which stayed in the hotel room). I keep a Gomadic cable and a set of tips in the mini clear pouch and haven't really decided yet what to use the small clear pouch for. I have two clear pouches and two padded pouches.
