Added some decent pictures to the review.

Hehe, my bad, when I had the panel off I didn’t notice that there was no connector. In the east cost of USA where I just got mine from (within the last two days) the connector has been totally removed from the motherboard (circuit traces and mounting holes still present but the connector is gone) and word is dell has ditched plans for the cell internet card that was planned for that spot. I'm prety pissed that dell castrated the motherboard by taking off that connector, posted on their forum but I don't see them bothering to respond. If there are different motherboards already then I say they engaged in false advertising by allowing pre production units to be reviewed that still had it on there.

Ok so how did you get one that still has the open pcie slot? I'm guessing that Dell will come out with a little kit one of these days and fulfill that HSDPA dream for us.. Can't wait.. Gives me something to look forward to, like a WM upgrade for an old smart phone.. :-)

Hmmm.. I’m getting a bit warm myself.. Got to look and feel at one at OLF 2008 and it's gorgeous!

Man I keep hoping Asus will send me the 1000H. There is space for a HSDPA modem in the removable panel on the bottom, and if you look in the battery compartment you will see the SIM slot, so it's all ready for it. You can pickup a mini PCIe WWAN card off eBay to stick in there, if the Mini 9 was mine I would seriously consider it as not having to stick a card or USB modem into the machine for HSDPA is SWEET! Got a taste of it with the Shift and Fuji U1010, and it was just better.

Hehe, I’m actually flying close to the sun on that one atm <img

I agree on the keyboard, a real tough one to get used to.. What I really like is its cheaper than most of my smartphones! Now if it just had the HSDPA modem built in.. I know next year..
Google Apps is really the way to go, I had a lot of angst about loading Office.. What are you using for anti-virus instead of McAfee?
Very cool! :-)

We must be in synch, I just purchased one of these yesterday! I agree on the keyboard, a real tough one to get used to..
