Frustrated by the confusing keyboard combinations required to change volume settings on your PC? Sure, some computers have clearly marked controls for increasing or decreasing volume. But for those that don’t, here’s an inexpensive USB solution. No drivers required. Just plug in this touch sensitive volume control and you can easily control your computer’s master volume control. Slide your finger up and down or touch the surface for two seconds and your sound will turn on or off. There are no drivers required for this to work. Just plug it into your Windows 2000, Vista or XP computer and you can start controlling the sound immediately.

On my desktop, I just use my mouse… :P

On my laptops, I use the key combo. Very nice and very easy in my opinion.

However, I do pine for traditional controls every once in a while. I need to pick up a couple of these:

They list for 45, but I have found them cheaper on the Web. I’d program one for over all audio and if I can on Linux, I would use it to turn the mixer controls in Ardour.
