Does your dog have a habit of taking off for hours. Tired of the dog playing hide and seek with you? Try this DogTrac GPS system. The device costs $139.99 at Costco and attaches to your dog’s collar. When he or she takes off, you can track them via the web. Unfortunately you’ll need to pay another $150 per year (discounted to $135 for Costco members) to actually track your dog. Still, if you have a roaming dog, the additional cost may be worth it for the peace of mind.

DogTracsTM is a GPS locator that allows you to be connected to your dog in a way you never imagined. DogTracs can determine when your dog leaves an area such as your yard and then sends you his location as a street address and map coordinates (Lat/Long) to your text message or WAP enabled cell phone or PDA. DogTracs also sends the information to any email account you designate. This information is continuously updated and sent out until you find your dog and cancel the alarm. DogTracs also allows you to request and receive the real-time location of your dog using your text message or WAP enabled cell phone or your PC. The DogTracs Web Application is easy to use and allows you to set up your dog’s safety zones, alarm notification contacts (Text devices and or Email accounts) and also provides you with a map view of your dog’s location (Viewable as aerial, street level or both).
