Remote license plate privacy cover – for the toll evading James Bond in us all

About a month ago there was a long haul trucker who was arrested for covering his license plate when he went through a toll. Without the license plate the government was never able to bill back those tolls. Apparently the trucker was discovered one day when a State Trooper observed him pulling a length of clothesline that was rigged through the engine firewall and to a sheet of plastic that would slide up over the trucker’s license plate. Now all the way from Hong Kong is the considerably higher tech RF license plate cover. It comes with two plates, wiring and a remote control to activate the “privacy covers”. It’s guaranteed illegal probably everywhere – but the whole concept is very cool. The gizmo will set you back $121 via DealXtreme.
