In a move that makes the old Sprint SERO plans of yesteryear seem like child’s play, it appears based upon a Best Buy sales flyer which lists Sprint’s plans that on November 2 the Everything Data Family plan is getting a major price decrease from its present $129 level to $69.
From a forum member who just returned from Best Buy:
Despite a failed attempt to to get an override from Sprint, they couldn’t put an HTC Pro Touch on my killer Fair and Flexible plan that is due for renewal (old retention special: 3-lines, 2k min, unl data, 7pm N&W, etc. for $85). The good news? A very helpful manager revealed all of the details about Sprint’s new plans and pricing that go into effect November 2, 2008. She even gave me a copy of the flyer which I have scanned. I will post it if I can figure out how to do it. These plans will work with all Sprint handsets, including the Instinct, Diamond, and Pro Touch. The new Everything Data Family plans will be the way to go
Keep in mind that under the Everything Data Plan you’ll receive:
The previous SERO plans were felt by many to be the best/cheapest in the business. However those SERO plans did not allow for minute sharing and the cheapest plan offered only 500 minutes per line for $30 while this option could offer up to 1,500. Update: Some people are pointing out that a price of $700 for the 700 minute talk for family plan doesn’t make sense and are calling into question the validity of this rate plan sheet. Update #2: This seems legit (or quite possibly a mis-print by Best Buy) – see original ad on Page #26 of this official Best Buy online circular

So, what happened to these new price adjustments? It looks like they never were adjusted.
