Splashdata publishes a plethora of applications that work across a variety of platforms. I’ve used their programs in the past on Palm, Windows Mobile, Blackberry and now I’m addicted to their iPhone versions (they also publish for Series 60). Version 4.5 of their password and confidential data keeper program – SplashID program has been released and it’s faster (they claim up to 2x faster for those with lots of records), adds a landscape view and number pad login.

Synchronization of SplashID is available. The desktop version is an additional $19.99. What I like about the application is that it uses my Wi-Fi connection with the iPhone to synchronize without cabling!

When I get into the house, so long as SplashID Desktop is running – I’m able to wirelessly synchronize all the changes that I’ve made while on the road.

New to version 4.5 is a numeric keypad login. Instead of having to juggle a keyboard you now can quickly login via a numeric password.

All of your data on SplashID is encrypted with the latest security methods. Although the desktop application is optional and SplashID works just fine without it – I recommend using both. It is much easier to key a lot of information directly into the desktop program and then wirelessly sync it to SplashID. (Note: If you have a license for an older version of SplashID Desktop on a different platform – the product key reportedly works on this iPhone specific version!).

Because you can create an unlimited number of categories, I’ve used this to keep track of the numerous login passwords that I’m forced to create throughout the work day. Without a (secure) list of my logins I’m helpless! Give SplashID a try – they offer a 30 day free trial of their desktop version and the iPhone version is $9.99 from the App Store (link below).
