Gizmodo weighs in with a review and some Sony vs Kindle screen comparison shots. Their verdict? They think the new Sony PRS-700 has a problem with screen glare. One of the neat things about the new Sony is you can swipe the screen to turn pages. When I visited NY to watch “Reader Guy” Dave Farrow I thought it was a little odd that he was using an old style Sony Reader and the device that was tethered to the marketing crew outside was also an old PRS-505 despite there being a newer model on public display at the flagship Sony store. I spent about 43 seconds with the PRS-700 and thought it was ok – but still prefer my Kindle.

PSTechCrunch say’s there’s a new Kindle coming Q1 2009 — and if I were buying, I’d wait for the new Amazon which has wireless content delivery.
