Today’s the last day to enter Geardiary’s HP Giveaway

Today’s the last day to post your entry here and be included in our drawing at midnight PST tonight for over $6,000 of HP computer hardware and software. Presently we have about 187 entries. Now if some of those are invalid (duplicate, don’t meet qualification) – that means you could have a better than one in 187 shot at winning all of the HP computers, peripherals and software. Your Christmas shopping could literally be over at midnight tonight!
To enter you need to do only three really really easy things:
1. Send out the following message on Twitter – I promise that I will make a difference in someone’s life if I win: http://tinyurl.com/6j2yml
2. Post a photo of your current desktop or laptop computer on Flickr (http://www.flickr.com) or if you’re really lazy just search flickr for something like this http://www.flickr.com/photos/eurleif/255241547/ because who will ever know it’s not your computer?
3. Leave a comment on the official entry page here that explains (a) the best gift you ever received, (b) what made it special and (c) who would you share this gift with. (Tip: You aren’t being judged on your writing – you just have to write SOMETHING that meets the qualification). Be sure to include links to #1 and #2 above in your message.
4. Wait for tomorrow morning and hope that you read your name as the big HP Giveaway winner!

Hi, Judie & Wayne.
I submitted an entry at http://www.geardiary.com/2008/.....nter-here/ five days ago and received the “Your comment is awaiting moderation.” indication.
Approval was apparently overlooked among all the entries as it did not turn up in a search of the giveaway entry page. I re-submitted and have another “Your comment is awaiting moderation.” indication. I hope all is well with my entry.

Hey Judie, thinking back to previous gadgets you’ve had like the Advantage, and keeping in mind what a powerhouse that turned out to be (I still miss mine), what do you think about this capacitive touchscreen push from HP (the new tx2 and the Touchsmart, basically)? I know having a nice big high resolution screen changed the way I worked (and played to be honest) with my devices, but tablets seem to be stuck in the niche rut. Do you think these consumer oriented devices will give this tech the push it needs?
P.S. What would you do if you won?
