Two things really sold me on this Passport radar detector. First, they changed the annoying beep that sounds off when you first start the car and the detector comes on. This seems like a small item but over the course of getting into and out of the car many times per day -- it's huge! Second, I get hardly any false alerts. That doesn't mean I get NONE (I don't think any detector can do that unless it's also deaf to radar) but the number is so small now that I hardly know the detector is on the dash.
