They'll spend the least amount of money possible to get an item like a computer, and then buy all kinds of cheap accessories that fail after 6 months, at which time they buy more cheap items to replace them. If only they had spent 10% more on the initial purchase, then all the upgrades and cheap-product-replacements wouldn't have been necessary and they wouldn't have spent more money on accessories than on the original purchase. (And besides, for gadget lovers, we always spend more on accessories than the original item cost anyway.)
