So since Sprint is planning on applying the increase on Jan. 1, 2009 you can not call in to terminate because of the rate increase until the rate increase appears on your first bill in 2009. My billing cycle ends on the 17th of every month. They told me to call back on or around the 25th as my bill should be fully generated by then to see if the rate increase was indeed applied. If it was I can then cancel at that point. The rep. did try to talk me out of canceling by offering a $5.00 credit to "more than cover" the total of the rate increase. So even if you don't plan on canceling it might pay to call in to request the credit. Every little bit helps.
