Free Mac and iPhone Software from MacHeist

Posted on 24 December 2008 by

Paul O’Brien sent me a link to this a few days ago, and after signing up I promptly invited a few friends…and now that I have had my memory jogged, I realized that it would be a good thing to let you all know, too. D’oh!

I can be soooo forgetful at times…forgive me? :-P

MacHeist has launched this year’s Mac Giving Tree, offering free software gifts for Mac users all around the world.

Visitors receive the popular Pangea puzzler Enigmo 2 and Wincent’s iTunes extender Synergy after a free signup. They’ll also receive up to 4 additional gifts to be unwrapped on Christmas day.

Over the last three days, over 100,000 people have already stopped by to pick up software gifts from under the tree, and the organizers expect many more to pass through by Christmas.

The tree has also started “growing” free iPhone apps the day before Christmas, offering US visitors an opportunity to win among thousands of promotional codes for App Store hits and favorites from over forty partnering developers including Fieldrunners, Touchgrind, Moto Chaser and much more.

Go sign up now, because it will run through Christmas Day…and then just like the present wrappers on the living room floor, it will be gone.

I started Gear Diary on September 30, 2006, and my goal was that this not be an easily labeled site. We all have gear that we use daily – some of it electronic and some of it organic. I think it is fascinating to explore the equipment that makes our lives easier, more entertaining, more productive, and more manageable. My hope is that Gear Diary visitors will find this site to be a comfortable and friendly place to discuss interesting topics – and not only those that are tech related, as well as a location to discover various types of gear – whatever that term may end up implying – that they never knew existed. My specialty is in-depth reviews written in a layman’s terms, because everyone can understand technology, sometimes it just takes a little translating. +Judie Stanford

The iPhone/iPod Touch promotion is only available to those in the US.
Sadly, their website is convinced that I do not live in the US and therefore I am unable to participate in the giveaways.

To those of you participating in the drawings, good luck ;)

    Happy Holidays Everyone!
