USB Fever have a trio of lenses that adhere to your iPhone via a magnetic ring. The wide angle lens (pictured above) offers a .67x zoom with Super Macro. The trio of lenses provide: Wide Angle, Telephoto (2x) and Fish-Eye capabilities to the iPhone (original and 3G) as well as a slew of other phones and even computers. Since the iPhone 3G features a plastic base, USB Fever have a solution to magnetically mount the lenses to those phones with plastic cases.

The Wide Angle lens is only $16.99. Attach it to any metal backing or use the included metal mounting ring which attaches with self-adhesive tape to those devices that are not metal such as the iPhone.

The detachable 2x telephoto lens for iPhone goes on the same way and costs the same as the others – $16.99. If your device is magnetic, then magnetics hold it in place. Unfortunately for iPhone 3G users – who have a plastic backing, you’ll have to goo it all up with a self adhesive metal ring which will mount the lens.

Lastly the fish-eye lens for iPhone features a 170 degree fish eye, 4 elements in 4 groups and a weight of 10.8g. As with all of the lenses, the fish eye fits multiple devices such as iPhone (1st and 3G), HTC Dream, T-Mobile G1, NDS DS-i, MacBook, Mac, MacBook Pro.

There are other solutions for iPhone 3G and iPhone (original) zoom lenses. Previously the only way to attach the lens was by using a bulky case. This magnetic attachment is a welcome addition though if you’re using an iPhone 3G you’ll probably need to be a serious camera user before finding it worthwhile to apply the metallic ring with adhesive backing.
